Trenton Lee Stewart is one of my favorite authors. He has writen the books The Mysterious Benedict Society and The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey. He currently lives in Little Rock, Arkansas with his wife and two kids. When he was eight years old, he would write silly rhyming poems when he had spare time at school. He would also make up stories about space explorers, killer crocs, and humans shrunk down to the size of insects. He usually writes in his study, which has a window that looks out on the garden, or occasionally, a cool critter. "The best time to work is in the morning, when nothing can disturb me." The funnest short joke he knows is:
- Knock Knock
- Who's there?
- Interupting cow
- Interupting co-
- Moo!!
His advise to writers in the making is "Read constantly and carefully - including a few reputal books on craft - and write as much as you can. Write what you think would enjoy reading yourself. Be patient and persistent, and hammer away!" A link to his site is www.doublecluck.com, then click on the tab Authors and then search Trenton Lee Stewart.

Maya, this post is exactly what it should be. Nice information on the author, and it is clever. He gives some great advice to young people (or not so young) about how to become a writer. Nice work here, Maya.
Maya, this is a very nice blog post with no mistakes. It seems his books are real cool! I'm gonna try reading one of his books like: The Mysterious Benedict Society {if mom lets me!]
